General information
Staff of the UNITAID Secretariat are selected by the Executive Secretary in accordance with the rules of the World Health Organization and pursuant to such authority as is delegated by the WHO Director-General. UNITAID staff members are appointed by WHO. The paramount consideration in the appointment of Secretariat staff is the necessity of securing the highest standards of efficiency, competence and integrity. Due regard is given to the importance of WHO's geographical distribution and gender diversity targets.
