Malaria

Malaria deaths are on the decline thanks to a concerted international effort over the past decade – mortality rates have fallen globally by more than 47% since 2000.
Most deaths occur among children living in Africa where a child dies every minute from malaria. Malaria mortality rates among children in Africa have been reduced by an estimated 58% since 2000.
UNITAID has helped achieve such progress by ensuring that vulnerable populations have access to affordable and quality products to test, treat and prevent this mosquito-borne disease.
