Executive committees

In November 2008, Unitaid's Executive Board formed two committees to guide them in their work, and approved the establishment of a formal, independent expert advisory group that was subsequently named the "Proposal Review Committee".

Finance & Accountability Committee

The Finance and Accountability Committee supports Unitaid’s financial planning and management.

Policy & Strategy Committee

The Policy and Strategy Committee advises the Board on strategic planning, core policies and reviews the performance of the Unitaid portfolio and responds to policy recommendations from expert advisory groups.

Proposal Review Committee

The Proposal Review Committee (PRC) consists of an independent and impartial team of experts that provide scientific, public health and economic advice to the Unitaid Executive Board on proposals. The PRC consists of 13 members:

  • At least one public health expert in HIV, TB and/or Malaria
  • At least one Member with experience in the market dynamics of commodities within HIV, TB, Malaria
  • Experts with extensive experience in health economics, developing country programmes, supply chain management, intellectual property and regulatory issues
